ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: Everything You Need to Know

All 12 teams have confirmed their final squads for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, with hosts England and Sri Lanka among the last to announce their 15-player line-ups. The tournament will feature two groups, bringing together established contenders and emerging sides for one of the biggest events in women’s cricket.

In Group 1, Australia will be led by Sophie Molineux, with a squad featuring Ashleigh Gardner, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Tahlia McGrath, Megan Schutt and Annabel Sutherland. India’s team, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, includes Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh and Renuka Singh. Bangladesh will be led by Nigar Sultana Joty, while Pakistan are captained by Fatima Sana and South Africa by Laura Wolvaardt. The Netherlands complete the group under Babette de Leede.

Bangladesh’s squad features Nahida Akter, Sobhana Mostary and Rabeya Khan, while Pakistan will rely on players such as Muneeba Ali, Aliya Riaz, Nashra Sandhu and Diana Baig. South Africa have named a strong core including Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus, Shabnim Ismail, Chloe Tryon and Nonkululeko Mlaba. The Netherlands have picked a youthful side led by Babette de Leede, with Sterre Kalis among their notable names.

Group 2 includes England, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, Sri Lanka and West Indies. England will be captained by Nat Sciver-Brunt and have selected a squad packed with experience, including Heather Knight, Sophie Ecclestone, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, Amy Jones, Charlie Dean and Issy Wong. Ireland’s team is headed by Gaby Lewis and includes Orla Prendergast, Amy Hunter and Leah Paul.

New Zealand, led by Melie Kerr, have named a squad containing Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine, Lea Tahuhu, Jess Kerr and Maddy Green. Scotland will be captained by Kathryn Bryce, with Sarah Bryce, Katherine Fraser and Abtaha Maqsood among the key players. Sri Lanka, under Chamari Athapaththu, have included Harshitha Samarawickrama, Nilakshika Silva and Kaveesha Dilhari, while the West Indies, led by Hayley Matthews, feature Deandra Dottin, Stafanie Taylor, Shemaine Campbelle and Afy Fletcher.

The squad announcements set the stage for the tournament, with each team now finalised ahead of the competition. The full list highlights a blend of established international stars, rising talents and experienced campaigners, underscoring the depth and growing competitiveness of women’s cricket across participating nations.
