West Wilson Exits Summer House Ahead of Season 11 Amid Scandal

West Wilson will not return for “Summer House” Season 11, as Bravo has not renewed his contract ahead of filming, which is expected to begin in the Hamptons in early July. The decision follows a highly successful Season 10 for the series, which became its most-watched season ever amid a major cast scandal that dominated Bravo conversation for months.

Wilson was one of the central figures in that controversy, particularly alongside Amanda Batula. Rumors started circulating in March that Wilson and Batula were involved romantically, a claim many viewers initially dismissed because of Batula’s close friendship with Ciara Miller, who had been in a complicated relationship with Wilson since Season 8. However, the speculation proved true when Wilson and Batula confirmed their relationship in a joint Instagram post on March 31. The announcement drew strong backlash from Bravo fans, who were unhappy with both the relationship itself and how it appeared to affect the broader cast dynamic.

The tension only intensified during the three reunion episodes for Season 10, where Wilson and Batula were widely criticized by viewers for seeming evasive, unapologetic, and out of step with the rest of the cast. The fallout from that storyline helped keep “Summer House” in the headlines well beyond the season’s original run.

In addition to the cast drama, Wilson has also seemed increasingly distant from the show in public comments. On his podcast, “Show Me Something,” he recently said he hoped the New York Knicks would lose to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, a result that would have forced a Game 6 in the NBA Finals. Wilson suggested that would keep viewers from watching “Summer House: The Aftermath,” a bonus episode scheduled to air on June 16. His remarks were viewed by some as another sign of hostility toward the franchise.

Wilson’s exit marks the first major cast change for Season 11, and it appears to be part of a larger shakeup stemming from the aftermath of the Season 10 controversy. With filming approaching, Bravo is moving ahead with a new chapter for the longtime reality series after a record-setting season and an unusually contentious reunion period.

The show’s next season is now expected to proceed without one of the personalities most closely tied to the drama that fueled its recent surge in attention.
