Vietnam’s Green SM has officially launched its Green SM Limo service in New Delhi, marking the company’s entry into India, one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing mobility markets. The launch took place on World Environment Day, underscoring the company’s long-term goal of making green transportation an essential part of urban life.
The launch event in the Indian capital was attended by Haryana Commerce and Industry Minister Rao Narbir Singh, along with representatives from the Indian government, the New Delhi administration, the Vietnamese Embassy in India, and strategic partners from the finance, transport, energy, technology, and services sectors.
At the ceremony, Green SM Global CEO Nguyen Van Thanh said India represents a highly important mobility market due to its scale, rapid growth, and strong spirit of innovation. He said the company is entering the country with respect for the market, confidence in its long-term potential, and a commitment to working closely with local partners. He added that Green SM aims to provide high-quality all-electric rides while expanding safe, reliable, and sustainable transport options for Indian users.
Haryana minister Rao Narbir Singh praised Green SM’s presence in the Delhi National Capital Region, where air pollution remains a major challenge. He said the company’s electric taxi fleet could help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and support the transition to green transport. He also stressed that environmental protection, clean energy development, and electrified mobility are top priorities and called on citizens, businesses, and social organizations to join government efforts to reduce pollution and build a sustainable future.
Green SM said its entry into India is intended not only to offer another safe, dependable, and high-quality mobility option, but also to create jobs and career opportunities for local drivers. Operating with a fully electric model, the company said it will work with local partners and communities to promote modern, environmentally friendly transport solutions aligned with sustainable development goals.
In the first phase, Green SM Limo is being rolled out in key areas of the NCR, with further expansion planned in stages to meet rising customer demand. The service is operated using the VinFast Limo Green, a fully electric seven-seat MPV developed for premium passenger transport. The vehicle is designed to provide spacious, smooth, and zero-emission travel for daily commuting, family trips, business meetings, and airport transfers.
Green SM Limo’s service promise, “Ride 5 Star,” focuses on vehicle quality, safety standards, professionalism, and customer experience. Customers in India can book rides through the Green SM app on the App Store and Google Play, by phone, or by hailing vehicles in operating areas. To mark the launch, the company is offering a 50% discount of up to 250 Indian rupees on app bookings.
At the same event, Green SM signed memorandums of understanding with five strategic partners from transport, tourism, technology, and services to join Green Alliance Frontier, a platform connecting pioneering green businesses committed to global sustainability. The launch further expands Green SM’s international footprint. Founded in Vietnam in 2023, the company now operates in Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, and India.
