Shaboozey Enlists Summer House Star Ciara Miller for “Cowgirl” Music Video

Shaboozey has released a new single, “Cowboy,” together with a cinematic music video that expands the story behind his upcoming concept album, The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales. The video, directed by Shaboozey and Logan Meis, features Summer House star Ciara Miller as Cherie Lee, a woman driven by revenge in a stylized Old West setting.
The song and video continue a larger narrative Shaboozey has been building around Cherie Lee, the central character of the album. In the video’s storyline, “the outlaws took everything,” and Cherie Lee takes the loss personally, setting out on a violent mission to settle the score. Shaboozey has described the project as a Western told continuously across every song, with themes of revenge, redemption, and romance shaping the emotional arc of the story.
The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales is scheduled for release on July 31 and has reportedly been in development for several years. According to Shaboozey, the album explores a protagonist who challenges everything she thought she knew about her world. The concept draws on classic Western storytelling while centering a female lead whose journey moves from grief to vengeance and, eventually, into moral conflict.
A press release describes the album as a cinematic outlaw revenge tale with a tragic love story at its center. In the plot, Cherie Lee witnesses her sheriff father murdered by the Bootcut Boys and abandons the badge to hunt them down one by one. During her pursuit, she falls for one of the outlaws, who believes love can redeem him, while she hopes it can silence her darker instincts. The story ends in betrayal and destruction, with Cherie choosing violence over love and becoming the very kind of outlaw she set out to destroy.
The new release adds another chapter to Shaboozey’s growing profile as an artist blending country, Western imagery, and narrative-driven songwriting. The project’s visual style and serialized storytelling suggest a fully realized concept album rather than a standard collection of songs, with each track contributing to the same revenge-driven arc.
Shaboozey will support the album with a fall tour. The Outlaws Never Die Tour begins on September 8 in Phoenix and runs through the end of October. The tour will give fans their first chance to hear new material from the album live and see how the project’s Western themes translate to the stage.
