Rose Gray Opens Up About “Club to Your Arms,” Her New Album, and Kesha’s Best Advice

Rose Gray is entering a new phase in her rising pop career after a strong response to her unreleased single “Club to Your Arms,” which she previewed during a sold-out show at La Poisson Rouge in New York City. The crowd reacted enthusiastically when she finished the song, signaling that her fan base is fully behind her as she prepares to launch a new era of music.

Gray, who released her debut album Louder, Please in January 2025, has spent the past year building momentum through international touring, opening slots for Kesha, and collaborations with artists including Demi Lovato, Shygirl, and Mel C of the Spice Girls. Her profile has also grown in the U.K., where she has begun drawing tabloid attention. Despite the recent success, Gray said her path to pop recognition has been a long one, shaped by years of determination, setbacks, and work behind the scenes in clubs and as a songwriter for other artists.

Looking back on the release of Louder, Please, Gray said she learned the realities of launching an album the hard way and realized that touring and promotion are essential parts of the process. She admitted she had once been focused mainly on the music itself, without fully understanding the business and performance side of a pop career. Over time, however, she said she has come to accept that success may not happen in the exact way she once imagined. Although she still hopes to perform in arenas and travel the world, she now values the opportunity to keep making music and writing for others.

Gray also described a broader shift in pop culture, saying today’s industry gives artists more room to grow gradually rather than needing an immediate breakthrough. She pointed to a wave of women in their late 20s and 30s who are finding new levels of success after years of building their careers. Turning 30 later this year, Gray said she feels grateful that her own growth is happening now.

“Club to Your Arms” was inspired by a chaotic return to London after a period of nonstop travel, performances, and DJ sets. Gray said the song came together quickly in the studio after she joked on the mic about feeling exhausted from life on the road. What began as a playful idea evolved into something she immediately recognized as special.

While she sees the track as a continuation of the sound and spirit of Louder, Please, Gray said it also points toward a new record that is moving in a different direction. She noted that this new chapter will include more ambitious visuals, including a music video for “Club to Your Arms” shot on film across London over two days.

Gray has also been leaning on advice from fellow artists. She praised Kesha as especially supportive and maternal while touring, saying the pop star encouraged her to speak up whenever something feels wrong. For Gray, the biggest reward remains the live connection with fans. Even after months on the road, she said hearing thousands of miles from home sing her lyrics back to her still feels thrilling and unforgettable.
