RHOBH Stars Jennifer Tilly and Kyle Richards Defend Kathy Hilton After West Hollywood Pride Parade Controversy

Kathy Hilton is receiving support from her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars after backlash led to her removal as grand marshal of the 2026 WeHo Pride Parade.
On Friday, June 5, Jennifer Tilly defended Hilton on Instagram, saying she stands with her and praising her longtime friend’s commitment to LGBTQ+ causes. Tilly wrote that Hilton works hard to give back to the community and has repeatedly opened her home, heart, and financial support to LGBTQ+ organizations. She also highlighted Hilton’s involvement with Project Angel Food and described her as an ally and advocate.
Kyle Richards also shared her support for her sister on Instagram Stories. Richards said Hilton has always supported the LGBTQIA+ community and will continue to do so. She addressed criticism over Hilton’s alleged “MAGA ties,” saying that knowing or associating with someone in the past or present does not mean a person shares that individual’s political views.
Richards also said she respected Hilton’s choice to step away from the event so she would not become a distraction on a day meant to honor the LGBTQIA+ community. Hilton had announced earlier in the week that she would no longer serve as grand marshal after facing criticism from some community members.
The controversy surrounded Hilton’s selection for the role in the 2026 WeHo Pride Parade, which prompted public debate and eventually her withdrawal. Despite the backlash, her co-stars’ comments emphasized her longstanding support for LGBTQ+ organizations and causes.
