Retail Gas Prices Today, May 28: Pacific Petro Rates Update

Pacific Petroleum Import-Export Trading Joint Stock Company (Pacific Petro) kept retail gas prices unchanged on May 28, 2026, following the adjustment made in early May. The company said the current maximum retail prices for consumers of its PACIFIC GAS, ESGAS and ACE brands have applied since May 1, 2026, and remain in effect for the current operating period.
Under Pacific Petro’s May 2026 pricing announcement, a gray 12kg gas cylinder is listed at 670,000 VND per cylinder. The PACIFIC GAS color 12kg product is priced at 687,000 VND per cylinder. The ESGAS 12.5kg and ACE GAS 12kg products are also both sold at 687,000 VND per cylinder. These figures represent the company’s maximum retail prices and already include value-added tax.
In the industrial gas segment, Pacific Petro also maintained its previous price levels. A 45kg cylinder continues to be priced at 2,509,000 VND, while a 50kg cylinder remains at 2,785,000 VND during the May pricing cycle. The company said actual selling prices at agents and retail stores may be lower depending on each region and the sales policy applied by distributors.
The stable pricing comes after a sharp increase earlier in May, when domestic gas businesses adjusted retail prices upward in response to rising global gas prices. Since that increase, several companies in the market, including Pacific Petro, have kept prices steady. The latest announcement shows that the company is continuing to hold its retail schedule without further changes as of May 28.
For consumers, the unchanged prices mean household gas costs remain at the same level set at the start of the month, while industrial customers also avoid any additional adjustment in the current period. Market observers note that domestic gas prices often move in line with international trends, exchange rates and import costs, making each monthly announcement important for both businesses and households.
Pacific Petro’s latest pricing update reflects a period of stabilization after the earlier surge, with no new increase announced for either household or industrial gas products. Consumers purchasing PACIFIC GAS, ESGAS or ACE cylinders in late May will continue to pay the same listed maximum prices, subject to local dealer pricing and regional market conditions.
