Marc Jacobs Beauty Returns: Where to Shop and Early Reviews

Marc Jacobs Beauty has officially returned with a new makeup launch, reviving the cult-favorite brand that disappeared in 2021. The comeback has generated strong interest among beauty editors and longtime fans who kept using their old products for years. The new collection is framed as more than a simple relaunch, with Marc Jacobs describing makeup as a form of creativity and self-expression. He says the brand is meant to represent joy and encourage people to experiment with their look.
The line stands out immediately for its packaging. Jacobs designed each category with a distinct symbol: a daisy for complexion products, a star for eye makeup and a heart for lip products. The lipsticks, in particular, feature a playful heart-balloon shape at the tip, adding to the whimsical aesthetic that has become a major talking point around the launch.
The new lipstick range is hydrating, glossy and designed for long wear. It comes in 15 shades, spanning bright statement colors as well as browns, pinks and mauves. The bronzer is another featured product, with a finely milled texture and 10-hour wear claims. According to an early review, it delivers a natural-looking warmth without appearing orange, muddy or overly shimmery.
Marc Jacobs says the products were created with “genuine passion, curiosity, and open-mindedness,” aiming to take familiar formulas and make them feel fresh and unexpected. The collection also emphasizes skincare-infused formulas and tactile textures that are meant to be fun to use while still performing well throughout the day.
For cheeks, the Joystick blush offers a creamy, easy-to-apply finish and comes in 10 shades. On the eyes, the Born Star Eyeshadow is available in several matte shades with names like “Delete That” and “Act Natural,” along with some metallic options that are not yet widely available. Reviews praise the eyeshadow for long-lasting wear and strong color payoff.
The Waterproof Gel Eyeliner is designed to complement the eyeshadows and promises 24-hour wear. It comes in 21 shades, including metallic and matte finishes. Another new item is the peptide-infused mascara, which is marketed as a long-wear formula that lengthens and volumizes lashes while staying clump-free.
Rounding out the collection is the Money Shot Gel Highlighter, which appears bold in the pan but is intended to add subtle or dramatic dimension depending on how it is applied. Used lightly, it can enhance more natural makeup looks, while a heavier application creates a stronger statement effect.
The initial launch is being rolled out with more products expected later this year. Some items are already drawing heavy demand, and the line is expected to sell quickly as fans rush to buy the long-awaited comeback collection.
