Jay-Z and Eminem Set to Reunite on New Album Featuring Rakim, Kurupt, and Masta Killa

Jay-Z and Eminem may be set to collaborate again for the first time in more than 20 years, following the reveal of a new tracklist shared by M80, the A&R and executive producer of an upcoming joint album from Rakim, Kurupt, and Masta Killa. The social media post sparked immediate attention after one of the listed interludes included both Jay-Z and Eminem as featured guests.

M80 announced the tracklist with a bold caption, calling the project a strong contender for album of the year in 2026. While the exact nature of Jay-Z and Eminem’s involvement is still unknown, the listing has fueled speculation that the two rap legends could be contributing new material. If confirmed, it would mark their first collaboration since “Renegade,” the acclaimed track from Jay-Z’s 2001 album The Blueprint.

The upcoming album is scheduled for release in August and is expected to feature a stacked roster of hip-hop veterans. Along with Jay-Z and Eminem, the project reportedly includes appearances from Snoop Dogg, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Daz Dillinger, KRS-One, and other influential artists spanning multiple generations of rap.

The possible reunion arrives during a notably active period for Jay-Z, who has remained largely quiet on the music front in recent years but has reemerged in public conversation throughout 2026. Earlier this year, he gave a rare interview to GQ, offering a look into his life and career after years of limited media appearances.

Last month, Jay-Z drew even more attention after headlining Roots Picnic, where he delivered a freestyle that many listeners believed contained indirect shots at Drake, Ye, Dame Dash, Nicki Minaj, Tory Lanez, and others connected to hip-hop. The performance quickly became one of the most debated moments in rap this year and prompted reactions from figures including Bobby Shmurda and Dame Dash.

Jay-Z’s schedule also remains busy with a series of live performances planned for later this year. He is set to perform three sold-out shows in New York City celebrating the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint, two landmark releases in his catalog. Additional concerts have also been announced in Paris on September 10 and in Los Angeles on October 23.

The possibility of a Jay-Z and Eminem reunion adds another major storyline to an already high-profile year for both hip-hop and the artists involved. With the album still months away, fans are watching closely to see whether the two icons will indeed share new music on the forthcoming project.
