UFC 329 Poster Released Featuring Conor McGregor’s Return Against Max Holloway

Conor McGregor has returned to a UFC poster ahead of UFC 329, where he is scheduled to face longtime rival Max Holloway in the welterweight main event on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event poster was released on Friday, marking only the second time in the past five years that McGregor has been featured in official UFC promotional artwork.
McGregor’s recent history has been shaped by a prolonged absence from competition. He has spent much of the last few years away from the octagon after suffering a broken leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. Since then, his time away from fighting has included recovery, legal matters, and business activities outside the sport. He was also briefly scheduled for a return bout against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024, but that fight ended after McGregor withdrew because of injury. He has not fought since.
Holloway enters the matchup looking to rebound from a difficult loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 326, where he was controlled on the ground and lost the BMF title. Holloway previously met McGregor 13 years ago and lost a decision, giving the Hawaiian veteran another chance to settle the score in a rematch that headlines International Fight Week.
The updated UFC 329 lineup also includes several notable fights across multiple divisions, though the final bout order has not yet been confirmed. Among the scheduled contests are Benoit Saint Denis vs. Paddy Pimblett, Cory Sandhagen vs. Mario Bautista, Brandon Royval vs. Lone’er Kavanagh, Gable Steveson vs. Elisha Ellison, Robert Whittaker vs. Nikita Krylov, Cody Garbrandt vs. Adrian Yanez, Tracy Cortez vs. Wang Cong, Damian Pinas vs. Cesar Almeida, Luke Riley vs. Kai Kamaka III, Ryan Gandra vs. Zachary Reese, Ode Osbourne vs. Cody Durden, and King Green vs. Terrance McKinney.
The return of McGregor to UFC promotional material signals renewed attention around one of the sport’s biggest stars as the promotion builds toward a major summer event. With Holloway standing opposite him, UFC 329 is set to draw significant interest both for the main event storyline and for a card that features a mix of established names and rising contenders.
