Which Love Island Couples Are Still Together Now?
Kyra Green and Cashel Barnett, one of the most memorable couples from the U.S. version of Love Island, had an on-and-off relationship that ended for good in February 2020. Their romance began with an unusual twist: Kyra chose to leave the show in hopes of reconnecting with Cashel after sending him home, only to discover that he had already returned. Despite their strong connection on-screen, the pair split in October 2019, reconciled by the end of November, and then separated permanently a few months later.
Barnett later spoke about the breakup on the #NoFilter podcast, saying the two were in different places in life and joking that Kyra had blocked his number. After their split, both moved on in different directions. Kyra continued building her reality TV career, appearing on Match Me If You Can in 2021, The Challenge: USA in 2022, where Cashel also competed, and Love Island Games in 2023. In 2024, she found a relationship away from television with Tal Sahar, a dental student and former basketball player.
Barnett’s name resurfaced in 2025 when he faced serious legal trouble in Utah. In May 2025, he was jailed on charges of domestic violence and assault, according to online records. The following month, additional charges of assault and domestic violence were filed against him. NBC News reported that Barnett denied the allegations. His attorney, Andrew K. Deesing, said the case was in its early stages and asked for privacy while the defense worked to protect Barnett’s name and reputation.
