HPU Announces BA Final Result: 95.59% Students Pass, Rampur College’s Namita Tops

Himachal Pradesh University has declared the result of the BA third-year regular batch examination. According to an official notification issued by Controller of Examinations Prof. Shyamlal Kaushal, a total of 13,712 students appeared in the examinations conducted in April and May, and 11,817 students have passed. The overall pass percentage stands at 95.59%, and this figure also includes students in the compartment category.

The merit list has been led by Namita from Government College Rampur Bushahr, who secured first place in the university. Lakhraj from Hamirpur ranked second, while Ritika from Bilaspur stood third. In the top 10, Shivanand from Kangra secured fourth place, and Tamanna from Government College Sanjauli came fifth. Satyam from Nahan College finished sixth, Priyanka from Kangra ranked seventh, Atithi from Shimla took eighth place, and Sonia Thapa from Kangra stood ninth. Nishant from Shimla, Arpita from Kangra, and Rohit Kumar from Chamba jointly secured the tenth position.

Prof. Kaushal said the university administration used new technology in the evaluation and result-processing system this year, which helped in declaring the result in less time compared with previous years. Students can check their results on the university portal using their ID credentials.

The announcement has brought relief and excitement to students awaiting their final-year results, with the high pass percentage reflecting a strong performance by candidates across affiliated colleges. The merit list also highlighted a wide geographical spread, with top ranks coming from Shimla, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra, Chamba, and Sirmaur districts.

According to the university, the result has been made available online, allowing students to access it directly through the official portal. The BA third-year regular batch result is a significant academic milestone for thousands of students, many of whom are now preparing for further studies, competitive examinations, or career opportunities after graduation.

The declaration of the result marks the completion of the academic assessment cycle for the April-May examination session. With 11,817 students clearing the exam, the university has recorded a notably strong success rate this year. The inclusion of compartment category students in the pass percentage provides a broader picture of the overall outcome.

University officials said the faster result publication was possible due to improved digital processes adopted during evaluation. This move is expected to make future result announcements more efficient as well.
