Hakan, Kenan, Kerem, and Ferdi: Vincenzo Montella Reveals Latest Injury Update Ahead of World Cup Matches

Turkey national team coach Vincenzo Montella and midfielder Arda Güler held a press conference at Inter Miami FC Stadium ahead of the friendly match against Venezuela.

Montella said captain Hakan Çalhanoğlu is gradually rejoining the squad, while Kenan Yıldız is also expected to come back into the group soon. He added that Kerem Aktürkoğlu may get a few minutes in the match, and Ferdi Kadıoğlu is in a similar situation. The main goal, he said, is to have everyone ready in the best possible condition for June 13.

Commenting on the team’s World Cup group, Montella said the teams are closely matched and stressed that there is never an easy opponent in football.

Montella also spoke about Vincenzo Italiano, the newly appointed coach of Beşiktaş, calling him a close friend and a very good manager. He recalled that during the earthquake in Adana, he had opened a donation account in Italy and said Italiano was among the biggest contributors. Montella praised his character and said he was very happy for him.

Arda Güler joined Montella at the press event as Turkey continued preparations for the upcoming international fixture.
