Daphne Joy has addressed reports about an alleged sexually explicit video said to feature her, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and another man, sharing an emotional statement on social media before deleting it. In the statement, the model said she had been deeply hurt by a past relationship and described that period as one marked by emotional pain, blurred boundaries, and regret. She said she had wanted to make her then-partner happy and believed she was acting out of love, but later came to see the relationship as something far more damaging.

Joy’s comments focused heavily on claims that she was never told she was being recorded and that the footage later became the basis of alleged blackmail. According to her statement, she was pressured to pay a lump sum of money to prevent the video from being leaked online. She said she nearly agreed to the demand, but after refusing, the person in the video allegedly sold the tape to a large media outlet. Joy claimed that learning about the alleged sale caused her to faint.

She also said the outlet later chose not to release the recording after concluding it involved revenge porn and an extortion attempt. In her message, Joy thanked the company for not airing the tape, while saying the episode has resurfaced years later and brought back painful memories. She described revisiting the situation as emotionally devastating and said seeing how lost she had been during that relationship was heartbreaking.

The model framed the experience as abusive and said it has taken time for her to process what happened. She wrote that she wants to rebuild her trust in herself and protect herself from future harm. Joy ended her statement by saying she is learning to love and value herself again and that she now feels, for the first time, that her body belongs to her.

Joy has previously been drawn into public controversy involving Combs. In 2024, she was named in a lawsuit filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, which included allegations related to payments from Combs. She denied those claims and said the accusations were intended to damage her reputation.

Combs is currently serving a federal prison sentence tied to a separate criminal case involving sex trafficking and other serious allegations. His legal troubles have kept him in the public spotlight for months and continue to draw widespread attention.
