BTS Lights Up Las Vegas in Night 2 Highlights from the Arirang World Tour

BTS returned to Las Vegas over Memorial Day weekend with a high-profile, sold-out run at Allegiant Stadium, drawing massive crowds for four shows as part of their Arirang World Tour. The seven-member group — RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — first performed in the city on May 23 and is scheduled to continue with concerts on May 27 and May 28. Their last Las Vegas stadium appearance came in 2022 during Permission to Dance on Stage, when COVID-related restrictions limited the number of venues they could play.

Sunday’s second-night show underscored the group’s enduring popularity, with fans filling the stadium, crowding parking-lot entrances and lighting the venue with ARMY Bomb lightsticks. The two-hour performance featured elaborate staging, strong choreography and a set that leaned heavily on Arirang, the album that inspired the tour and marks BTS’s first album in years. The concert came after the members spent recent years fulfilling mandatory military service in South Korea, but their stage presence and polished execution suggested little interruption to their momentum.

The production emphasized Korean cultural identity throughout. Traditional music interludes, Korean flag imagery and a 360-degree pavilion design inspired by Gyeonghoeru Pavilion in Gyeongbokgung Palace were woven into the show, reinforcing BTS’s long-running balance between global appeal and national roots. The tour opened with “Hooligan” and was performed in the round, creating an immersive experience that differed from the group’s 2021-2022 concerts, which offered a broader retrospective of their career. Arirang focuses more squarely on the group’s current era, making the show especially appealing to fans invested in the new material.

The setlist mixed newer songs with select older hits. Along with Arirang tracks, BTS performed fan favorites such as “Fake Love,” “Mic Drop” and “Idol,” plus pandemic-era English singles “Butter” and “Dynamite.” They also included surprise performances of “Black Swan” and “Spinebreaker.” One standout moment came when the new song “FYA” flowed into “Fire,” blending the tracks into a high-energy medley that became one of the night’s most memorable segments.

Fans traveled from across the U.S. and beyond to see the show, including attendees who came from Utah and other states. The weekend also extended far beyond the stadium through “BTS The City,” a citywide activation organized by Hybe and BigHit Music. Las Vegas landmarks turned red, fireworks lit up the MGM Grand, the Strip displayed BTS imagery and welcoming messages, and the Sphere featured Arirang visuals. Restaurants, cafes, museums and nightclubs joined in with themed offerings, making the group’s return a full-scale cultural event across the city.

BTS is also set to appear at the American Music Awards on May 25, their first AMAs appearance in four years. The group is nominated for artist of the year, song of the summer and best male K-pop artist, adding another major moment to a weekend already defined by their comeback and continued global influence.
