Alex Warren Announces New Album Wildchild
Alex Warren, one of the biggest breakout artists of 2025, has announced his next album, continuing the momentum from a major debut year. His first album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid, reached the top five of the Billboard 200, while his hit single “Ordinary” has been streamed more than 2 billion times and its music video has drawn an additional 377 million views. Warren also earned a nomination for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards, establishing himself as one of pop’s fastest-rising names.
Warren’s new album, Wildchild, is set for release on August 28 through Atlantic Records. The project will include his new song “Passenger,” along with previously released singles “Fine Place to Die” and “Fever Dream.” Based on the early response to the new material, the album appears poised to extend his run as one of the year’s most closely watched pop acts.
In announcing the album, Warren explained that the title carries deep personal meaning. He said his father used to call him “Wildchild” when he was growing up, and the nickname became significant enough that he even tattooed it on his body. For Warren, the album was more than just a collection of songs; he described the process of making it as healing, therapeutic, and a way to continue learning about himself.
He also said Wildchild reflects where he is in life now, especially when compared with his debut album. In his view, the first record came from a place of brokenness, while the new one represents a man trying to heal. That contrast gives the project a more introspective tone, suggesting a continuation of the emotional honesty that helped connect him with listeners in the first place.
Warren said he valued the chance to confront those feelings through music and share them openly with fans. He described the album as a transparent look into his life, indicating that Wildchild will likely balance personal reflection with the polished, accessible pop sound that helped drive his breakout success.
With Passenger now introduced as the latest preview of the album, Warren’s next chapter is already generating attention. If the response to his debut is any indication, Wildchild could become another major milestone in his rapidly expanding career.
