Air Canada Foundation Releases 2025 Impact Report on Improving the Health and Well-Being of Children and Youth Across Canada

The Air Canada Foundation has released its 2025 Impact Report, highlighting how its charitable work supported children and youth across Canada through health, protection and dreams-focused programs. The foundation said its mission is to improve the health and well-being of children and young people through partnerships with Canadian-registered charities, employee involvement and fundraising campaigns.

Air Canada President and CEO Michael Rousseau said the foundation’s work in 2025 strengthened support for families nationwide and thanked partners, donors, employees and retirees for helping deliver assistance where it was needed most. Foundation Chair Louise-Hélène Sénécal said the report shows what can happen when compassion and collaboration come together, while also recognizing former chair Priscille LeBlanc for her leadership.

According to the report, the foundation raised $2.1 million in 2025, including $1.3 million net from its annual golf tournament. It also collected 42 million Aeroplan points, with 27.5 million donated during Aeroplan’s Points Matching Week. Those points support the Hospital Transportation Program, which helps sick children travel for medical care across Canada. Nearly $1.8 million was invested directly into communities.

The foundation also responded to eight humanitarian crises during the year, supporting appeals, donating airline tickets and helping deploy humanitarian partners for emergency response efforts. Working with 473 charitable partners, it delivered programs aimed at helping children and families in practical and meaningful ways.

Among its 2025 achievements, the foundation hosted seven Autism Aviation Day events for more than 130 families, giving children on the autism spectrum a supportive opportunity to experience the full pre-flight process. It also provided 605 trips through the Hospital Transportation Program to help children access essential medical care, fulfilled 1,113 dreams for children and youth, and supported more than 550,000 meal deliveries to address food insecurity.

Air Canada employees remained closely involved in the foundation’s activities. In 2025, employees donated more than $70,000 and more than 900 employees volunteered at 28 events across Canada. The foundation said employee participation continues to play an important role in advancing its mission.

The Air Canada Foundation, launched in 2012, supports Canadian-registered charities through financial and in-kind contributions, including its Hospital Transportation Program, which redistributes Aeroplan points to pediatric hospitals and partner organizations such as Hope Air and the David Foster Foundation. The foundation also runs fundraising initiatives such as Every Bit Counts, which encourages customers to donate loose change on board flights or in Maple Leaf Lounges.

Air Canada said the foundation’s efforts remain focused on helping children receive medical care, feel safe and supported, and experience opportunities that build resilience and hope.
