James Franco Supports Girlfriend Izabel Pakzad at Find Your Friends L.A. Premiere with Bella Thorne and More

James Franco attended the Los Angeles premiere of longtime girlfriend Izabel Pakzad’s directorial debut, Find Your Friends, on Monday night, June 1, at the Vista Theatre. Pakzad wrote and directed the film, and she was joined on the red carpet by Franco, along with his brother Dave Franco and their mother Betsy. Izabel’s mother, Marie, also attended, and the group posed together for photos.

The premiere drew several cast members from the film, including Bella Thorne, Chloe Cherry, Zion Moreno and Sophia Ali. Other attendees included Madelaine Petsch, Natasha Lyonne and Jaime King. Bella Thorne arrived with her fiancé, Mark Emms, and the two shared a kiss at the after-party at Mirate.

Find Your Friends has already generated strong early buzz. Variety described the film as “a blazing feature debut” and praised Pakzad’s handling of its dark subject matter, noting its examination of consent, toxic behavior and the fallout from a girls’ trip that goes wrong.

The film follows Amber and her four best friends as they leave Los Angeles for a trip to Joshua Tree. What begins as a carefree escape quickly turns tense when the group finds itself unwelcome in a desert town marked by quiet hostility. As their isolation deepens and their encounters with aggressive locals become more threatening, resentment within the group starts to boil over. The situation escalates into violence, survival and revenge as old wounds collide with immediate danger.

The premiere marked a major moment for Pakzad as she introduced her first feature to audiences, with friends, family and cast members turning out to support her. Find Your Friends is scheduled to begin streaming on Shudder on June 12.
