Kristy Sarah Scott’s Lavish Home After Divorce: Inside Her Luxurious Life

Kristy Sarah Scott is offering a closer look at the luxury details inside the Houston mansion she built from the ground up, and the Architectural Digest feature is drawing attention not only for the home’s design but also for what was left unsaid. Kristy, who moved into the roughly 7,000-square-foot house last August with Desmond Scott and their two children after years of planning and construction, shared the article on Instagram and described the project as the result of years of idea-building, investing, taking risks, and trusting herself. In the interview, she said she never originally planned to build a home from scratch, but the idea grew after touring properties and losing out on one she loved. She then worked with Novi Home Builders on construction and designer Nina Magon on the interior, shaping the space into what she called a “modern, soft and very calm” environment filled with floor-to-ceiling windows.

The publication highlighted the home’s clean, neutral aesthetic, with open spaces featuring off-white, beige, dark gray, and rust accents. But the decor comes with a luxury price tag. Among the items showcased were an off-white bouclé sofa valued at $14,760, a smaller sofa listed at $3,390, a $1,299 dining table from Crate & Barrel, a cocktail glass set worth $135, a $109 teapot, and a $2,995 desk lamp. The boys’ rooms also reflect high-end spending, including a $440 throw pillow and a $699 West Elm floor rug. Kristy said her sons, Vance and Westin, had a major role in choosing the look of their spaces, adding that she wanted them to feel free in their home.

Notably, Desmond Scott was not mentioned in Kristy’s Architectural Digest feature, even though earlier social media content had shown the couple walking through the home during construction and on move-in day. The omission comes amid their ongoing divorce, which has played out publicly in recent months. While Kristy has continued to spotlight major life updates, including buying an apartment in Miami and leaning into brand collaborations, Desmond has also stayed visible online. He has recently been linked to multiple women and has continued posting content of his own, including a behind-the-scenes cooking video shared shortly after Kristy posted about the home feature.

Kristy has also been open about personal changes during the divorce. In early May, she revealed she had started therapy and said her therapist recommended a year without dating, a suggestion she jokingly said she might shorten. Despite the breakup, she appears to be embracing a new chapter marked by travel, business growth, and high-end living, with the Houston mansion standing as one of the clearest symbols of that transformation.
