Laure Manaudou Shares Rare Photo of Son Lou: A Young Riding Enthusiast Like His Dad Jérémy Frérot

Laure Manaudou and Jérémy Frérot, who separated in 2024, continue to prioritize their two sons, Lou and Sacha, while managing life as co-parents. On Sunday, May 31, Manaudou shared a rare glimpse of their eldest son, Lou, during a moment at the skate park, showing the 8-year-old appearing comfortable on his board. The image highlighted the family’s ongoing connection to sport and echoed Frérot’s long-standing love of board sports such as surfing.
In recent interviews, both parents have spoken openly about the challenges of separated parenting. Frérot said he feels anxious when his children are not with him and described himself as a stressed father who constantly worries about whether he gives them enough love and attention. He also said there is no manual for becoming a father, underscoring the emotional uncertainty that can come with shared custody.
Lou, born in July 2017, appears to be following in the footsteps of his athletic parents. Manaudou, a former Olympic swimming champion, recently ran the Paris Marathon, while Frérot, originally from the Arcachon Bay area, has long been devoted to surfing. He has said he hopes to spend time at the beach and surf with his children, suggesting that his passion for water and board sports is being passed on to Lou.
Manaudou has also recently discussed her personal life, saying she appreciates her newfound independence and does not currently have room for someone else in her life, though she has not ruled out a future relationship. Even so, her two sons remain central to her daily routine. Frérot, who is touring with his album Gamin des sables, often brings Lou and Sacha with him on the road. In early April, he shared backstage photos on Instagram showing the boys alongside him at concerts, reflecting the close bond they maintain despite the breakup.
Their separation has not altered the couple’s shared focus on family. Both continue to present a united front when it comes to parenting, with their children at the center of their decisions and schedules. The recent skate park image offered a simple but telling reminder that, despite living separate lives, Manaudou and Frérot remain connected through their sons and the everyday moments of their upbringing.
