Trace Cyrus Blasts Sister Brandi in Fiery Social Media Post

Trace Cyrus has publicly accused his sister Brandi Cyrus of renting him a house he described as mold-infested and of refusing to refund his money. In a series of angry Instagram videos, the singer said the living conditions became so difficult that he had only recently gotten clean water and had been sleeping on an air mattress downstairs. He claimed the situation has disrupted his plans to release new music this summer because he now has to move again.

Trace said the dispute has added to a long-running sense of frustration with his family, suggesting that he has been mistreated by relatives for some time. He expressed anger over what he called “disgusting” treatment from family members and said he would be setting firmer boundaries going forward. He also told Brandi not to use other people to communicate with him, insisting she should call him directly if she wants to resolve the issue.

In another clip, Trace said he had calmed down after meditating and spending time in the sauna, but still stood by his complaints. His posts referenced his late mother in a spiritual sense, saying he wanted to be sure she was aware of Brandi’s actions.

The online outburst comes months after Trace directed similar criticism at his father, Billy Ray Cyrus, in January 2025. At that time, he posted an emotional message reflecting on his childhood admiration for his father and saying he barely recognized him now.

The Cyrus family has often drawn public attention because of its internal tensions. Trace and Brandi were adopted by Billy Ray Cyrus, while the siblings are connected through Tish Cyrus, Billy Ray’s ex-wife. Their extended family includes Miley Cyrus, Braison Cyrus, Noah Cyrus, and Christopher Cyrus, Billy Ray’s son from a previous relationship.

Miley Cyrus has also recently addressed speculation about family conflict, denying rumors that she was feuding with her mother, Tish Cyrus. She said the two remain very close and described the supposed social media drama as a simple accident involving an unfollow.
