Lizzo Performs at Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Show as Tiffany Haddish, Alix Earle and More Walk the Runway

Lizzo was among the featured performers at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show on Saturday night, May 30, at W South Beach in Miami, Florida, bringing star power to an event that blended fashion, entertainment and live performance. The 38-year-old singer appeared in two different swimsuits during the show, which also featured a large lineup of celebrities and models walking the runway.
This year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show will reach a wider audience when it begins streaming on Tuesday, June 9, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. Sports Illustrated Swimsuit general manager Hillary Drezner said the move to Hulu marks an important step in expanding the event into a larger entertainment platform and described the runway show as a cultural moment that connects fashion, sports, storytelling and celebrity appeal.
The runway featured many of the women included in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, including Tiffany Haddish, Alix Earle, Remi Bader, Haley Kalil, Nicole Williams English, Bethenny Frankel, Christen Goff, Ilona Maher, Brooks Nader, Hunter McGrady, Molly Sims and Jasmine Sanders. Their appearances added to the event’s mix of pop culture names, athletes and fashion figures.
Several Dancing With the Stars personalities also took part in the evening. Britt Stewart and Emma Slater performed on the runway alongside Jenna Johnson, Hailey Bills and Val Chmerkovskiy, creating a choreographed segment that added a dance element to the show. Stassi Schroeder and Maura Higgins were also among the celebrities present, with Higgins set to compete on Dancing With the Stars later this year.
One of the most memorable moments of the night came at the end of the show, when Olympian Ilona Maher ran off the runway and jumped into the water, closing the event with a playful finish that matched its high-energy atmosphere.
The runway cast also included Achieng Agutu, Ali Truwit, Katie Austin, Tunde Oyeneyin, Xandra Pohl, Jena Sims, Meredith Mickelson, Claire Kittle, Lauren Chan, Ellie Thumann, Jocelyn Corona, Penny Lane, and the Nader sisters — Mary Holland Nader, Grace Ann Nader and Sarah Jane Nader — among others. Their presence reflected the broad mix of creators, athletes, TV personalities and models that Sports Illustrated has increasingly brought into its swimsuit franchise.
Other notable names seen on the runway or in the event coverage included Brooklyn Nader, Bethenny Frankel, Tiffany Haddish, Molly Sims, Jasmine Sanders, Nicole Williams English, Hailey Bills, Britt Stewart, Emma Slater and Val Chmerkovskiy. The show highlighted the brand’s continued effort to position the annual swimsuit event as more than a traditional fashion presentation.
With Lizzo’s performance, a celebrity-heavy runway, and a streaming debut set for June 9, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show turned into one of the season’s most talked-about entertainment and fashion events.
