Sombr has released a new single, “Potential,” following its live debut during the first weekend of Coachella in California. The artist is currently finishing his time in the desert after performing at the festival, and the song is now available with a cinematic new music video. Sombr announced the release on Instagram, saying the track and visual may be his best work yet, and expressing pride in the result.
The release arrives at a busy moment for Sombr, who recently announced a major 2026 tour titled the You Are The Reason Tour. The run includes a long list of North American dates and features support from several artists across different legs of the tour, including Interpol, King Princess, Dove Cameron, The Last Dinner Party, Tom Odell, Balu Brigada, The Hellp, and Hannah Jadagu. The tour begins with an opening date in Mexico City on July 22 and includes two shows at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado, on July 26 and 27.
From there, the tour continues across major arenas and amphitheaters in the United States and Canada, including stops in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, San Jose, Anaheim, Los Angeles, San Diego, Glendale, Oklahoma City, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, Sunrise, Orlando, Charlotte, Nashville, St. Louis, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Columbus, Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Buffalo, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, Newark, and New York. The final two dates are scheduled for November 23 and 24 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
“Potential” adds to the momentum surrounding Sombr’s current run, coming directly after the Coachella performance that introduced the song to fans for the first time. The new release pairs the studio version with a polished visual presentation, reinforcing the artist’s focus on both music and imagery as he expands his profile. With a major tour on the horizon and new material now out in the world, Sombr is entering a high-visibility stretch of his career.
The single and video are now available, and the full tour itinerary confirms that Sombr will spend much of the rest of 2026 on the road, performing in some of the biggest venues of the tour circuit.
