Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos’ Turbulent Relationship Revealed

Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos have taken a step back from the courtroom after initially moving forward with a Texas SAPCR case on March 17. The hearing on temporary relief was canceled when both sides agreed to postpone the meeting in order to try to resolve their parenting issues outside of court. According to representatives for both parties, the decision was made jointly and with the goal of focusing on what is best for the couple’s children.

Ramos’ attorney, Raymond Rafool, said Sarah Jane supported the pause in court proceedings and viewed the approach as the most beneficial path for the children. He described her as a mother whose first priority has always been the well-being of her kids. The statement suggested that Ramos was open to handling the matter privately rather than continuing immediately through litigation.

Prescott’s attorney, Levi G. McCathern II, gave a similar account, saying the case had not been resolved but that both sides agreed to delay the first hearing while they attempted to settle the matter without further court involvement. He said Prescott is focused on building a healthy co-parenting relationship and doing what is best for his children. The comments from both legal teams indicated a willingness to cooperate despite the legal dispute.

The development marked a notable shift in the couple’s custody situation, which had been heading toward a formal court hearing. Instead of pressing ahead in public, the two appear to have chosen a more private route to address parenting concerns. Their attorneys’ statements emphasized cooperation, stability and the children’s interests as the main priorities.

By April 16, the estranged couple reportedly reached an informal temporary custody agreement outside of court for their daughters, according to Page Six. That update suggested progress in their efforts to manage the situation without immediate judicial intervention. While the broader case remains unresolved, the temporary arrangement signaled that Prescott and Ramos had found common ground, at least for the time being.

The timeline reflects an evolving custody matter in which both parents have publicly stressed the importance of their children’s welfare. Rather than escalating the dispute, they have opted to postpone and negotiate, with legal representatives on both sides portraying the decision as mutually beneficial.
