Cardi B Sues Tasha K’s Husband Over Alleged $4 Million Scheme

Cardi B’s long-running legal dispute with commentator Tasha K has entered a new phase, with the rapper now reportedly pursuing Tasha K’s husband, Cheickna Kebe, in federal court over alleged efforts to shield assets from a multimillion-dollar judgment. According to the report, Cardi filed a civil lawsuit accusing Kebe of helping conceal money and property after the court awarded her nearly $4 million in damages in her defamation case against Tasha K.
The case stems from Cardi B’s 2019 lawsuit, which alleged that Tasha K spread false and damaging claims about her online. In January 2022, a jury sided with Cardi and found Tasha K liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The judgment marked a major legal victory for the rapper, but the financial recovery process has reportedly been complicated by later transactions involving Tasha K’s business and personal assets.
In the new filing, Cardi alleges that shortly after the judgment, a company called Yelen Entertainment, LLC was created in May 2022 and was used to move assets connected to Tasha K’s original business, Kebe Studios. Cardi’s legal team claims those transfers effectively left Kebe Studios as an empty shell, with no meaningful funds available to satisfy the court award. The lawsuit also alleges that income associated with Tasha K was rerouted through accounts tied to Yelen Entertainment and that her name was removed from several financial accounts.
Another key allegation involves a Georgia property owned by Tasha K. Cardi claims the property was transferred to Kebe for just $1, which she says was done in an attempt to prevent creditors from reaching it. The lawsuit further references statements made under oath that allegedly support the claim that some of the transfers were designed to help Tasha K avoid collection efforts. One quoted filing reportedly says, “I wanted to help her avoid garnishment.”
Cardi is now asking the court to undo the disputed transfers, recover the funds she says are owed, and potentially place assets associated with Tasha K and Kebe into a trust until the judgment is paid. The filing represents an escalation in a case that has already included multiple allegations about attempts to evade enforcement of the original verdict.
The dispute has continued to generate attention online, with social media users reacting to the latest legal claims and revisiting earlier controversies tied to the case. The legal battle has also been complicated by previous accusations that Tasha K violated a non-disparagement clause through livestream commentary, as well as claims from Cardi’s attorneys that Tasha K’s legal team cited a fabricated case and may have relied on AI-generated research in court filings.
Tasha K has since publicly acknowledged losing the fight to Cardi in a livestream, describing the hearing as chaotic. With the newest lawsuit, the conflict now appears to be moving beyond the original defamation verdict and into a broader fight over assets, enforcement, and financial accountability.
