Blue Jays’ Guerrero Jr. and Clement Lead AL Positional All-Star Voting

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and infielder Ernie Clement are in strong position to represent the club at the 2026 MLB All-Star Game in Philadelphia after receiving major support in the latest fan voting update.
Guerrero has collected 603,014 votes and currently ranks second among American League first basemen behind New York Yankees rookie Ben Rice, who has 509,830 votes. Clement has built a much larger cushion in his category, with 904,702 votes, putting him more than 600,000 ahead of Texas Rangers infielder Ezequiel Duran, who sits second.
Guerrero’s numbers have been modest by his standards this season. He is batting .280 with three home runs and a .738 OPS, but he remains one of the most recognizable names in the league and is trying to earn his sixth consecutive All-Star selection. Clement, meanwhile, is enjoying a breakout campaign and appears to be on track for his first All-Star appearance. The 30-year-old is hitting .304 with seven home runs, a .784 OPS, and an American League-leading 20 doubles, making a strong case for inclusion on the mid-summer roster.
Several other Blue Jays are also in contention as the voting process continues. Catcher Alejandro Kirk, third baseman Kazuma Okamoto, shortstop Andres Gimenez, and designated hitter George Springer are all listed second in voting at their respective positions, leaving each with a realistic chance to advance depending on the final fan totals and remaining stages of the selection process.
At the top of the American League voting leaderboard, Houston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez is the current leading vote-getter with 1,015,768 votes. In the National League, Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani leads all players with 1,165,133 votes.
The 2026 MLB All-Star Game is scheduled for July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, home of the Philadelphia Phillies. With voting still underway, the Blue Jays could send multiple players to the annual showcase if current trends hold.
