Beckham Family Rejects Claims That Harper’s Visit to Brooklyn’s House Was Staged: Report

David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly rejected claims from their estranged son Brooklyn Beckham’s camp that his younger sister Harper’s recent visit to his Los Angeles home was staged for publicity. A family source told The Sun that the accusation was “clearly nonsense,” responding to a statement from Brooklyn’s representative that photographers had been positioned in advance and that the visit appeared choreographed. The family did not immediately comment to Page Six.

The dispute followed photos and reports that 14-year-old Harper briefly stopped by Brooklyn’s LA home, where he lives with wife Nicola Peltz, shortly after attending their father David Beckham’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. According to earlier reporting, Harper did not get to see Brooklyn or Nicola during the visit and left soon after arriving. Brooklyn later posted on Instagram Stories that he was in New York at the time.

Brooklyn’s side had already pushed back strongly, saying the presence of photographers and a letter being hand-delivered suggested the visit was arranged for cameras. The latest response from the Beckham family indicates the tension between the two sides remains high and that even a family visit has become part of the ongoing public feud.

The visit comes amid a prolonged rift between Brooklyn and his parents. Earlier this year, Brooklyn said publicly that he does not want to reconcile with his family and accused them of controlling media narratives, staging performative social media posts and creating inauthentic family relationships. He also claimed his mother Victoria hijacked his first dance with Nicola at their 2022 wedding, adding that he was standing up for himself for the first time in his life.

Because of the family tension, Brooklyn did not attend David Beckham’s Walk of Fame ceremony, despite Harper’s appearance there in support of her father. Sources previously told Page Six that Brooklyn’s attendance was never likely, and one insider suggested Nicola Peltz would not have welcomed it. Another source said both that Nicola can be difficult and that Brooklyn does not want to see his parents.

The ongoing feud has repeatedly played out in public through interviews, social media posts and anonymous sources, with each side denying or challenging the other’s version of events. Harper’s brief LA visit and the response to it have now added another chapter to the Beckham family’s increasingly strained relationship.
