Knicks Return Home as Locker Room Videos Go Viral on Social Media
The New York Knicks celebrated their championship win in unforgettable fashion after defeating the San Antonio Spurs 94–90 in Game 5. Inside the locker room, the team erupted into champagne-soaked chaos as players sprayed bottles across the room, passed around the trophy, and celebrated in matching championship shirts and white hats. The victory party quickly became more memorable when Timothée Chalamet joined the celebration and was drenched in champagne as the Knicks continued their nonstop partying.
OG Anunoby also gave fans a closer look at the locker room celebration by accidentally going live on Instagram during the postgame scene. As champagne flew and the trophy changed hands, Karl-Anthony Towns appeared on camera yelling, “We live baby, we live,” while wearing goggles and joining the celebrations. Anunoby then struggled to end the live stream, repeatedly asking how to stop it before the video ended with his hand covering the camera.
The celebration continued the next morning when the Knicks arrived back at Westchester County Airport in New York. Fans gathered to welcome the team home, and firetrucks sprayed a water arc over the plane as players stepped off the aircraft carrying luggage and soaking in the moment. The team returned as champions, with the city reacting to the title like a historic triumph. The scene reflected the excitement surrounding the Knicks’ victory and the sense that the franchise had reached a new level of status after its title-clinching win.
