Prince Albert of Monaco opens the Monte-Carlo Festival with his family alongside Michel Drucker and Ester Expósito

The 65th Monte-Carlo Television Festival opened on June 12 on the Rock in Monaco, drawing international stars, French television personalities, and members of the Grimaldi family for one of the principality’s signature summer events. Prince Albert II personally welcomed guests on the blue carpet as the festival began shortly after the Grand Prix, underscoring Monaco’s busy social calendar and its continued role as a high-profile meeting point for entertainment, fashion, and royalty.

Among the notable arrivals were British actress Kristin Scott Thomas, who appeared in a striking gold look, and Spanish actress Ester Expósito, who added to the event’s international glamour. French media and entertainment were also represented, with Michel Drucker, Frédérique Bel, and singer Amir traveling to Monaco for the opening. Prince Albert also posed with Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan, stars of the television series The Walking Dead, adding to the festival’s celebrity appeal.

Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, the prince’s daughter and an aspiring actress herself, was also present at the event. The 30-something appeared in a sleek black fitted dress, reinforcing the evening’s elegant atmosphere. Although she did not pose alongside her father, other members of the family were close by, including Louis and Marie Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb, who helped represent the wider Grimaldi clan at the ceremony.

Marie and Camille, both regulars at the festival, stood out with coordinated but distinct fashion choices that echoed the blue carpet theme. Louis Ducruet wore a dark blue suit, while his wife Marie chose a long electric-blue gown with a cowl neckline from Monégasque label Crisoni. She completed the outfit with Zara heels and a Cartier bracelet, blending luxury with accessible fashion in a look that highlighted local design.

Camille Gottlieb opted for a contemporary ensemble by French brand Sandro. Her outfit included white sequined trousers and a cropped jacket, creating a polished and modern silhouette. She also wore jewelry from APM Monaco, a choice that paid tribute to her home country and supported a local brand.

The evening highlighted the combination of celebrity culture, family presence, and fashion that has long defined the Monte-Carlo Television Festival. With Prince Albert at the center of the welcome and several generations of the Grimaldi family attending, the event once again showcased Monaco’s ability to merge entertainment and royal visibility on an international stage.
