Katy Perry Reportedly Set to Move Into Justin Trudeau’s $3.1 Million Canada Home

Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is reportedly deepening his relationship with singer Katy Perry by encouraging her to spend part of the year at his new Montreal home. According to reports, Trudeau bought the $3.1 million stone residence in Montreal’s Outremont neighborhood with Perry in mind, hoping she would stay there while continuing to keep her primary home in California for co-parenting purposes. The property, which Trudeau reportedly closed on in February after securing a mortgage through the Bank of Montreal, is a nearly century-old house with seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, an office, and a ballroom. It sits on a large, secluded lot and is hidden behind trees, fencing, and shrubs, making it a private retreat for the couple.
The Montreal home is spacious enough to accommodate Trudeau, Perry, and Perry’s daughter, Daisy, whom she shares with actor Orlando Bloom. Sources say the house was chosen partly because it is in a prestigious area where Trudeau previously lived and because it offers room for a blended family. The property was initially listed for $3.3 million and was sold by Nicolas Ruggieri, who had bought it in 2023 for $3.9 million. Trudeau is also said to be renovating the residence, with contractors reportedly seen at the site.
Perry and Trudeau’s relationship became public after the pair were seen together in Paris in October, where they attended a cabaret show and celebrated Perry’s birthday. Their romance had first sparked speculation in July 2025 when they were spotted having dinner together in Montreal, just weeks after Perry and Bloom confirmed their split. Since then, sources have described the relationship as long-distance but manageable, with both reportedly making an effort to see each other whenever possible.
Perry is said to be based mostly in Montecito, California, where she and Bloom had been living before their separation. The former couple are reportedly focused on maintaining a stable co-parenting arrangement for their daughter and avoiding major disruptions to her life. Bloom has said publicly that he is doing well and remains grateful for their family, even after the breakup.
Trudeau left office in March 2025 after nearly a decade as Canada’s prime minister. He previously shared three children with his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, who reportedly continues to live with the children in Montreal. Following their 2023 separation, both parents said they would remain active in their children’s lives. Trudeau’s new home, along with his reported plans with Perry, has drawn attention as the former politician transitions into life after public office while navigating a high-profile new relationship.
