Charlie Puth Cancels Florida Concert Due to Illness, Says He Is “So Devastated”
Charlie Puth has canceled his Saturday night concert in Orlando, Florida, citing illness. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter announced the decision on Instagram Story on the day of the scheduled performance at Addition Financial Arena, saying he had been sick for several days and was advised to rest to avoid jeopardizing more shows on his tour.
In his message to fans, Puth said he was devastated by the cancellation and apologized for being unable to perform. He explained that he could not deliver the quality of show his audience deserved because he had lost his voice. He told fans that performing every night means a great deal to him, but he did not want to risk worsening his condition or affecting additional dates on the tour. Puth also expressed hope that he would be able to see fans again once he recovered.
The Orlando concert was part of Puth’s Whatever’s Clever! World Tour, which supports his fourth studio album, Whatever’s Clever, released in late March. The tour has featured one of the largest productions of his career, with dates already completed across North America. Puth is scheduled to continue the tour internationally later this month, with upcoming shows planned in Europe, including Portugal, Denmark, Germany, Spain, France and Italy, followed by additional performances in Asia such as Hong Kong, Manila and Tokyo. The tour is currently set to conclude in mid-November.
It is not yet clear whether the June 6 performance in Florida will be rescheduled.
Puth has also recently attracted attention for a separate professional move, joining the AI-powered music platform Moises as its chief music officer. He said he had been using the platform in his own creative work for years.
