Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie Attend Peter Phillips’ Wedding

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie made a rare public appearance on Saturday as they attended the royal wedding of their cousin, Peter Phillips, despite the continuing scandal surrounding their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Beatrice, 37, arrived at All Saints’ Church in Kemble, England, with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who held an umbrella over her as they entered the church. Eugenie, 36, followed with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

For the ceremony, Beatrice wore a green floral dress paired with a beige fascinator, while Eugenie, who is pregnant with her third child, chose a navy coatdress and a matching headpiece. Their appearance drew attention because the sisters have largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent months as public scrutiny has intensified around their father.

Peter Phillips, the son of Princess Anne, married NHS nurse Harriet Sperling. The wedding marked an important family occasion for the royal relatives, and Beatrice and Eugenie attended in support of Peter, who was previously married to Autumn Kelly and has two daughters with her.

The outing came amid ongoing controversy involving Andrew, 66, who was stripped of his royal titles in October 2025. Months later, he was arrested on allegations of misconduct in public office, though he was released within hours. He has not publicly commented on the accusations.

King Charles III addressed the situation in a February statement, saying he had learned of the news with “deepest concern” and stressing that the matter should proceed through a “full, fair and proper process” led by the appropriate authorities. He added that the law must take its course and that he and the royal family would continue in their duties and service.

Beatrice and Eugenie, the daughters of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, have not publicly commented on their father’s legal issues. Sources have said the princesses have been deeply affected by the scandal and have adjusted their public plans as a result. According to those accounts, they have reduced their appearances to avoid having family controversy dominate their engagements.

Their presence at Peter’s wedding was therefore notable as one of their few recent public outings. It also highlighted the continued closeness of the wider royal family, even as personal and legal difficulties continue to surround Andrew. The wedding offered a more traditional royal moment, centered on family support and ceremony, against a backdrop of continuing public attention on the York family.
