Hot Pilates Founder Shannon Nadj Unveils FIFA World Cup–Inspired Athletic Training Workouts
Just in time for the FIFA World Cup, Hot Pilates founder Shannon Nadj is introducing a soccer-inspired summer workout series that blends the studio’s signature full-body burn with an athletic, team-centered twist. The new classes are designed to channel the energy of the tournament while keeping the focus on movement, community, and performance.
Nadj says the goal is to create a playful but challenging environment that mirrors the demands of soccer. The workouts will emphasize agility, coordination, balance, endurance, and core strength, with plenty of lower-body exercises built in to reflect the power and stability needed on the field. Stability balls will be used in place of soccer balls, adding a themed element to the routines while keeping the sessions dynamic and engaging. Cardio will also remain a key part of each class, ensuring participants leave feeling energized and worked from head to toe.
The soundtrack is getting a global update as well. Instructor Laurel Galanter has curated playlists inspired by the World Cup, featuring music and artists from different regions around the world. The intention is to make the studio atmosphere feel festive and international, matching the event’s spirit of competition and celebration.
Beyond the workout itself, Nadj is extending the soccer theme into style and self-expression. She says what people wear can affect how they feel during a workout, helping boost confidence, comfort, and motivation. Her own preferred look is simple and polished: a sleek lululemon set paired with a soccer-inspired jersey, team colors, or sporty accessories. For Nadj, the idea is to combine functionality with a subtle nod to the tournament while still feeling elevated and put together.
This month also includes a charitable and educational component. Through a partnership with lululemon, Hot Pilates will provide full tuition for one aspiring instructor to join the Hot Pilates Mat Training program. The training covers movement fundamentals, anatomy, cueing, class programming, and leadership skills designed to help future instructors guide classes with confidence and connection.
By tying together fitness, fashion, music, and community, Nadj is turning the World Cup into more than a sporting event. Her summer challenge aims to make workouts feel spirited and inclusive while encouraging participants to move like athletes, embrace the team mentality, and enjoy the experience of training in a fresh, themed format.
