Red Robin to Open First Saginaw-Area Location

A former Logan’s Roadhouse site in Saginaw Township has a new tenant: Red Robin, which has acquired the restaurant at 2697 Tittabawassee Road, between Chipotle and Starbucks. Township officials said the burger chain is taking over the space less than a year after Logan’s Roadhouse closed permanently in August 2025, ending more than a decade of operation at the location.
Ray Hausbeck, assistant director of community development for Saginaw Township, said the change is welcome because vacant buildings are a concern for the community. The new owners plan to renovate both the interior and exterior of the building, along with sidewalk repairs, but no major structural changes are expected.
The restaurant is owned by Farmington Hills-based Ansara Restaurant Group, which operates all 19 Red Robin locations in Michigan and also owns three Red Robin restaurants in Ohio. Ansara Restaurant Group Chief Operating Officer Brian Cooke said the company expects the Saginaw Township location to open by the end of the year. He said the family-owned business, which has more than 60 years of history serving Michigan communities, is excited to expand Red Robin service in Saginaw.
Red Robin is known for its wide burger lineup, including the Whiskey River BBQ, Bacon ’n’ Bleu, Cowboy Ranch and Jalapeño Heatwave burgers. The menu also includes sliders, Donatos Pizza, wraps, chicken sandwiches, chicken wings and appetizers such as fried pickles and pretzel bites.
The Saginaw Township opening would give Red Robin its first restaurant in Saginaw County and its nearest existing location to the area is in Flint Township. The chain operates more than 500 restaurants across the United States and Canada, according to its company website.
Hausbeck said the township is pleased to see a new business take over the vacant property and hopes it will thrive. The redevelopment adds another dining option to the Tittabawassee Road corridor and brings new activity to a space that had been empty since Logan’s Roadhouse closed.
