Your Privacy Settings

Yahoo says privacy is important and explains how it uses cookies and personal data when people use its websites and apps. The notice states that Yahoo is part of the Yahoo family of brands and that cookies are used to provide its services, authenticate users, apply security measures, prevent spam and abuse, and measure site and app usage.

The privacy message also explains what happens if users click “Accept all.” In that case, Yahoo and its partners, including 247 members of the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework, may store or access information on a device using cookies and similar technologies. The company says it may also use precise geolocation data and other personal information, such as technical identifiers and browsing and search data, for analytics, personalized ads and content, ad and content measurement, audience research, and service development.

Users who do not want Yahoo and its partners to use cookies and personal data for these additional purposes are told to click “Reject all.” Those who want more control can choose to manage privacy settings manually. Yahoo says consent can be withdrawn or preferences changed at any time through the “Privacy and cookie settings” or “Privacy dashboard” links available on its sites and apps.

The notice directs users to Yahoo’s Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for more information about how personal data is collected and used. It emphasizes user choice, transparency, and ongoing control over privacy preferences across Yahoo’s digital products.
