Thrissur Records 82.09% Pass Rate in Plus Two Results

Thrissur district has recorded an overall pass percentage of 82.09 in this year’s Plus Two higher secondary examinations, with 26,107 of the 31,801 students who appeared across 193 schools qualifying for higher studies. A total of 2,753 students secured A+ in all subjects, reflecting strong performance across the district.
In the Technical Higher Secondary stream, Thrissur posted a pass percentage of 56.67. Of the 30 students who appeared for the examination in this category, 17 qualified for higher studies. The result was notably lower than the district’s overall performance, indicating a more challenging outcome in the technical stream.
The Open School category registered a pass percentage of 42.89. Among 1,224 students who appeared, 525 qualified for higher studies, while 17 students achieved A+ in all subjects. Although the pass percentage was comparatively modest, the category still produced a small set of top scorers.
The vocational higher secondary education (VHSE) stream reported a pass percentage of 76.82. Out of 2,217 students who appeared, 1,703 qualified for higher studies. Government VHSS Kunnamkulam (Deaf) and Aryampadam Sarvodaya VHSS were among the institutions that achieved 100% success, marking a standout performance in the vocational segment.
Kerala Kalamandalam Art Higher Secondary School also delivered a strong result, with a pass percentage of 82.54. Of the 63 students who appeared, 52 qualified for higher studies, and two students secured A+ in all subjects. The school’s performance added to the district’s overall positive result in the higher secondary examination.
The district’s results show a wide variation across streams, with the general higher secondary category performing significantly better than the technical and open school categories. At the same time, the number of students securing A+ grades across all subjects highlights the presence of several high achievers in Thrissur this year.
Overall, the results reflect a mixed but largely encouraging outcome for the district, with the main higher secondary stream showing solid success and several schools and categories recording notable achievements. The data underscores both the breadth of participation and the range of performance across different educational streams in Thrissur.
