Noah Wyle and Sepideh Moafi Are Not Feuding, Despite Reports About The Pitt
Sepideh Moafi has denied reports of behind-the-scenes tension with Noah Wyle during the second season of The Pitt, saying the two actors maintained a positive working relationship throughout production. In a Variety interview published on May 27, Moafi addressed rumors of a feud and rejected them outright, describing Wyle and the rest of the cast as “really great colleagues.”
Moafi portrayed Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi in the medical drama, an attending physician brought in to help fill the gap left by Wyle’s character, Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, as he prepared for a sabbatical. Her comments came after speculation circulated about possible friction on set, especially in connection with the emotionally charged season two finale.
In that episode, Robby confronts Al-Hashimi in an intense exchange after learning about her seizure disorder. The scene escalates as his character threatens to report her to the hospital, accusing her of withholding important information about her ability to practice medicine. Moafi said the off-screen atmosphere was very different from the confrontation viewers saw on screen.
She explained that the trust and comfort she felt with Wyle made it easier to perform the more difficult material. According to Moafi, the cast’s supportive dynamic helped create a safe environment for the show’s darker and more emotionally demanding scenes.
“Between setups, we were shooting the s–t and laughing,” Moafi said, emphasizing that the alleged rivalry was not something she had experienced. She added that claims of personal conflict between her and Wyle were “completely false,” and said she was not aware of any real beef between them.
Moafi also suggested that anyone seeking confirmation could ask Wyle directly, further reinforcing her denial of the rumors. Her remarks present a picture of a collaborative set rather than one marked by competition or resentment.
The actor’s comments arrive amid continued attention on The Pitt, which has drawn interest for its ensemble cast and high-stakes medical storylines. Moafi’s response to the rumors helps clarify that the dramatic tension shown on screen did not reflect the relationships among the performers behind the scenes.
Her statements also highlight a common issue in television production, where emotionally charged scenes can sometimes fuel assumptions about cast dynamics. In this case, Moafi made it clear that the intense exchange between her character and Wyle’s character was strictly part of the script, not evidence of personal discord.
By directly dismissing the speculation, Moafi attempted to put the matter to rest and redirect attention back to the show itself and the work of the cast.
