The 17-year-old completed her studies at Fusion Academy, a private school known for personalized one-to-one education for students in grades four through 12. Her graduation was celebrated by close family members, including Nipsey Hussle’s older brother, Blacc Sam, and Emani’s mother, Tanisha Foster, who shared a photo from the ceremony and congratulated her daughter on social media.
The achievement highlights a theme that was important to Nipsey Hussle throughout his life: the value of education, discipline, confidence, integrity, and leadership. Before his death in 2019, the Grammy-nominated rapper often spoke about the principles he wanted to pass on to his children. In a conversation with NBA star Stephen Curry, he said he used daily affirmations with Emani on the way to school, focusing on building her character and helping her understand the importance of leading with purpose. He described fatherhood as a deeply intentional responsibility and said becoming a parent changed his priorities.
Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, was 33 when he was fatally shot outside his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles in 2019. His death shocked fans, friends, and the wider community that had long admired not only his music but also his activism and business vision.
