Andy Robertson’s Next Move Takes a Twist as Liverpool Star Receives Tempting Rival Offer

Juventus have reportedly made an approach to sign Liverpool defender Andy Robertson this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur still believed to be in a stronger position for the Scotland international. Italy could now emerge as a serious alternative destination as the Serie A club weighs up experienced additions ahead of the new season.

Robertson, 31, has already confirmed that he will leave Liverpool when his contract expires this summer, bringing an end to an influential spell at Anfield. He featured in Liverpool’s final Premier League match of the season, which marked his last appearance for the club. His departure now opens the door for potential free-agent interest from clubs across Europe.

According to reports in Italy, Juventus have asked for information on Robertson as part of their wider summer planning. The Turin club are said to be targeting seasoned players to strengthen their squad, and Robertson’s profile fits that approach. Their interest comes amid a broader pattern of scouting experienced Premier League figures, with the club also being linked with Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti is familiar with Alisson from their time together at Roma, which has reportedly helped fuel that separate line of interest. While Alisson’s future remains unresolved, Robertson’s situation is clearer, since the left-back has already publicly announced his decision to move on.

The defender’s farewell to Liverpool supporters was emotional. After his final outing at Anfield, he posted a heartfelt message thanking the fans for their backing throughout his eight-year stay at the club. In his message, Robertson praised the atmosphere created by supporters at home and away, described them as the heartbeat of the club, and said the memories made together would stay with him forever.

Robertson also reflected on the special moments he shared with Liverpool fans, including trips to Wembley, parade celebrations and memorable European nights. He made clear that his connection with the club and its supporters remains strong, telling fans that his departure should not be seen as a permanent goodbye.

If Juventus do move forward, Robertson would join a growing list of Scotland internationals playing in Italy. Scott McTominay moved to Napoli from Manchester United, Billy Gilmour also joined Napoli from Chelsea, and Che Adams signed for Torino after leaving Southampton. That Scottish presence could make a move to Serie A more appealing for Robertson as he considers his next step.

For now, Liverpool’s long-serving left-back is set to become one of the most notable free agents of the summer, with Premier League and European clubs expected to monitor his situation closely. Juventus’ reported enquiries suggest that the competition for his signature is beginning to intensify, even if Tottenham are still thought to be ahead at this stage.
