Megan Thee Stallion Shares Her Favorite Snacks

Megan Thee Stallion is beginning 2026 with a new brand partnership that fits both her personality and her Houston roots. The rapper is fronting Flamin’ Hot Cheetos’ “Pickle’s Back” campaign, a playful collaboration that leans into the Southern snack trend of combining pickles with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. In a conversation with UPROXX, Megan said the pairing is natural for her because she has long eaten pickles and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos together and feels the campaign is a perfect match for her image and hometown influence.

She also reflected on her long history with Cheetos, saying she has been eating Flamin’ Hot snacks since middle school. One of her strongest childhood memories involves buying Flamin’ Hot Baked Cheetos at school and adding nacho cheese from the snack stand. Megan said she grew up on spicy food, especially Tex-Mex, Louisiana flavors and Southern dishes, which helped shape her taste. She described herself as someone who has always loved heat in her food and remains loyal to the Flamin’ Hot brand.

The interview also turned into a tour of Megan’s favorite Houston food spots. She praised Timmy Chan, a Chinese-style fried chicken restaurant on her side of town, calling it a must-try for anyone who wants a serious spicy meal. When asked about the Galleria, she expressed disappointment that Grand Lux Cafe, one of her favorite stops, had closed. She said she especially loved the chicken Caesar salad, Buffalo bites, strawberry lemonade, large cookies and avocado egg rolls there. Megan also weighed the longtime Houston debate between Pappadeaux’s and Pappasito’s, saying it depends on her mood, but she loves Pappasito’s for its queso, enchiladas and margaritas, while Pappadeaux’s has strong drink options as well. She named Mikki’s Cafe as her favorite soul food restaurant in Houston, highlighting the cabbage, oxtails and sweet tea.

Beyond Houston, Megan discussed what she likes to eat before and after performances. Her rider is simple: water, electrolytes, ice and fruit, with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos saved for after the show. She said she prefers foods that will not upset her stomach before performing. After shows, she often wants local takeout depending on the city. If she loves the food in a place, she will make sure someone brings it to her after she leaves the stage. She said Philly is one of the cities where she especially wants a real cheesesteak from a local spot rather than a polished restaurant.

Megan also named Miami and New York as cities she gets excited about for food. In Miami, she loves Cuban food, steaks and the city’s creative, trend-driven restaurant scene. She said she is drawn to dishes that look interesting on social media, though not every viral food trend wins her over. She pointed to sushi tacos as an example of something that looked appealing online but felt too overloaded in real life. For travel snacks, she prefers combinations that complement the heat, including pepper jack cheese cubes, pickles, Topo Chico, sparkling water and Twizzlers.
