Knicks and Jimmy Fallon Celebrate NBA Championship on Monday’s Tonight Show

The New York Knicks will take over NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” on Monday, June 15, 2026, in a special championship episode celebrating the franchise’s first NBA title since 1973. Host Jimmy Fallon, a longtime Knicks fan, said the entire show would be devoted to honoring the team’s 2025-26 NBA championship.
The episode is set to feature several of the Knicks’ biggest stars, including Finals MVP Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart. The celebration will also include a musical appearance by Wu-Tang Clan, adding to the festive atmosphere surrounding the title win.
The Knicks’ championship spotlight extends beyond the basketball court, as the team’s victory has created a major moment across New York sports and entertainment. Fallon’s announcement turned the late-night program into a showcase for the team’s run to the NBA crown, which ended a long title drought for the franchise.
Brunson’s appearance on “The Tonight Show” carries added meaning because of a promise he made during a February 10, 2024, visit to the show. At that time, he said he would bring the Larry O’Brien Trophy to the studio if the Knicks ever won a championship, a pledge that now appears to be fulfilled.
The special episode is scheduled to air at 11:35 p.m. ET / 10:35 p.m. CT on NBC. It will serve as both a celebration of the Knicks’ historic season and a rare late-night TV event centered entirely on one NBA team.
