Euphoria Season 4: Is the HBO Series Returning After Season 3?

Euphoria returned to HBO on April 12, 2026, marking the long-awaited debut of its third season after a four-year gap since season 2 ended. The show’s comeback was delayed by production setbacks, scheduling conflicts, and other obstacles that pushed the release further back than fans expected. Now that season 3 has officially wrapped, attention has shifted to whether the series will continue with a fourth season.

At this time, HBO has not confirmed Euphoria season 4. HBO chairman and CEO Casey Bloys addressed the show’s future in January 2026, saying creator Sam Levinson was focused on finishing season 3 and had found a creative way to move the characters forward by five years. Bloys said the network was beginning to see cuts from the new season and described them as strong, but he made clear that any discussion of another season would wait until Levinson had finished his current work and shared his next creative plans.

Bloys also said it was too early to talk about bringing the cast back again for a potential fourth season, noting that the conversation would depend on what Levinson wanted to do creatively with the series and with his career. In other words, the future of the show remains undecided and tied closely to Levinson’s vision.

Levinson later said he had no plans to write a fourth season, according to Variety, which has made the outlook for another installment more uncertain. Still, while season 4 does not appear to be actively moving forward, it also has not been officially ruled out.

Season 3 features the return of the show’s core cast, led by Zendaya as Rue, Hunter Schafer as Jules, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Maude Apatow as Lexi, and Eric Dane as Cal. The new season also added nearly 20 new cast members, expanding the world of East Highland as the story moved ahead five years.

The third season’s release and the uncertainty around what comes next have renewed interest in the future of one of HBO’s most talked-about dramas. For now, fans have season 3 to follow, but the question of whether Euphoria will return for a fourth season remains open.
