Endrick Suffers Hard Tackle from Casemiro on Second Day of Brazil’s 2026 World Cup Training Camp

During Brazil’s second training session on Wednesday in New Jersey, a harder incident during practice drew attention while Carlo Ancelotti oversaw the team’s activities. Endrick was hit by a strong tackle from behind by Casemiro, who immediately apologized after the play sent the young forward to the ground.

The moment quickly spread across social media, where reactions were divided. Some users criticized the midfielder’s aggressive challenge, while others went further and suggested it could reflect discomfort or tension involving the attacker. The incident renewed online discussion around the relationship between the two players, which has already been the subject of public speculation before.

That is not the first time Casemiro and Endrick have been at the center of online debate. A recent comment by Casemiro about Endrick had been taken out of context and circulated negatively. In that statement, the midfielder said that if Endrick goes to the World Cup, it should be understood that he is not yet one of the team’s main players and that the pressure on him should not be excessive. Casemiro stressed that Brazil must be realistic about the youngster’s role and avoid expecting him to solve games on his own. He also said that more experienced players in front of him need to take greater responsibility and contribute more to the team.

Brazil is now preparing for its final warm-up match before the World Cup. The team will face Egypt on Saturday at 7 p.m. Brasília time. After that, Brazil will begin its tournament campaign on June 13, also at 7 p.m., against Morocco in Group C. Haiti and Scotland are the other teams in the group.
