Saturday Night’s Main Event Returns in May 2026

At Saturday Night’s Main Event, several major WWE matches delivered decisive outcomes, controversial finishes and post-match attacks as the women’s and tag team divisions continued to collide in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab scored one of the night’s biggest wins by defeating Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss in a six-woman tag team match. Ripley, Flair and Bliss opened strongly with coordinated offense, but the momentum shifted after Cargill landed a powerful superkick on Bliss. The match broke down into chaos as Flair and Cargill traded shots, Michin rocked The Queen, and Ripley eventually entered after a Big Boot from Flair. Michin later connected with a Styles Clash on Flair, leaving Cargill and Ripley as the final legal competitors. Although Ripley, Flair and Bliss briefly regrouped, Cargill returned to wipe out the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions before finishing Ripley with Jaded.
Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch’s match with Sol Ruca ended in disqualification after Lynch deliberately pulled the referee into the path of a Sol Snatcher. Lynch attacked Ruca before the bell, but the official restarted the action once Ruca answered back. Ruca controlled much of the contest until Lynch created the controversial finish, then followed it with a brutal post-match assault on her opponent.
Intercontinental Champion Penta successfully defended his title against Ethan Page in a hard-fought bout. Page used his size and aggression to dominate early, even driving Penta spine-first into the announce table. Penta rallied with high-risk offense, including a Tope con Hilo and flying crossbody, while the crowd backed him with loud chants. Page later exposed a turnbuckle and used it to target the champion, but the strategy backfired when Penta sent him into the steel and closed the match with a Mexican Destroyer to retain the championship.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella also retained their titles, overcoming The Irresistible Forces in a match dominated at times by Nia Jax and Lash Legend. Jax appeared close to victory, but Paige escaped danger and used teamwork with Bella to preserve the win.
In the World Tag Team Championship match, The Vision retained against The Street Profits in a heated contest fueled by the crowd’s hostility toward Logan Paul. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins mounted several strong rallies, including a flying elbow and a Doomsday Device-Blockbuster combination, but Paul and Austin Theory survived the pressure. Bron Breakker briefly entered the fray, only for Dawkins to stop his spear attempt with a powerful pounce. That opening allowed Paul to strike Ford with a loaded right hand and secure the pin for The Vision. After the bell, Breakker, Theory and Paul launched a further attack on The Street Profits, sending a clear message to the division.
