Blackhawks Trade Jack Pridham to Lightning in Deal Release

The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired a third-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for forward Jack Pridham. Pridham, 20, was selected by Chicago in the third round, 92nd overall, of the 2024 NHL Draft before being moved in the deal.

Pridham is coming off a standout 2025-26 season with the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League. He finished second in the OHL with 46 goals and fifth with 90 points in 65 regular-season games, producing 46 goals and 44 assists. He led all Kitchener skaters in both goals and points, while ranking third on the team with 44 assists.

His strong season earned him the 2025-26 Leo Lalonde Memorial Trophy as the OHL’s Overage Player of the Year. Pridham also made a major impact in the playoffs, tying for fourth among all league skaters and leading the Rangers with 15 assists in 18 postseason games. His performance helped Kitchener capture its first OHL championship since 2008.

A native of Stouffville, Ontario, Pridham emerged as one of the top offensive players in the league during the 2025-26 campaign. His combination of scoring ability and playmaking was central to Kitchener’s deep playoff run and championship season. For Chicago, the move adds a future draft asset as the organization continues to shape its long-term roster plan.
