Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Rush Daughter Violet to the ER

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were seen supporting their daughter Violet after she was taken to the emergency room following a frightening health scare. The 20-year-old Yale student appeared to be in significant discomfort and was photographed limping into the medical center with help from both parents. Affleck kept a protective arm around her, while Garner stayed close at her side to help steady her as she moved. Later, Violet left the hospital on crutches and with her foot immobilized in an orthopedic boot, again accompanied by her parents.

The sight of the former couple arriving together for their daughter underscored the close family bond they have maintained since their 2018 split. Although no longer married, Affleck and Garner have continued to present a united front for their three children: Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14. Their shared focus has long been family stability and consistent support, especially during difficult moments. Over the years, they have repeatedly shown that their co-parenting relationship remains grounded in respect, cooperation, and care for their children’s well-being.

This is not the first time the pair have rallied around one another during a crisis. Last summer, when wildfires affected the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles, Garner reportedly welcomed Affleck into her home after his property was impacted. After Affleck sought treatment for alcohol addiction, Garner also drove him to rehab and stayed by his side for the sake of their children. The two have frequently been seen spending holidays together, including Thanksgiving, and attending birthdays, school events, and Samuel’s basketball games, reflecting a family dynamic that remains connected despite the divorce.

Violet’s latest public appearance came on May 9, when she was photographed returning home for Mother’s Day in the United States. She was seen walking with Garner and her brother Samuel while enjoying ice cream. On that outing, Violet drew attention because she was not wearing the face mask that has often accompanied her public appearances in recent years. She also appeared without glasses, giving a clearer view of her face and her strong resemblance to her mother.

Violet has become increasingly recognized for her own voice in public health and advocacy. She has often worn a mask in public since developing a post-viral condition in 2019. In July 2024, she spoke before the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors about the importance of mask access and stronger health protections, saying she had experienced firsthand that medicine does not always have answers for the long-term effects of even mild viruses. She called for better public health measures, including masks, improved air filtration, ultraviolet light systems in public buildings, and requirements in healthcare settings.

Now a student at Yale University, Violet has also built a public profile around global health, climate justice, and policy issues. She has spoken at international forums, written about climate and community organizing, and continued developing an identity separate from her famous parents while pursuing academic and advocacy interests.
