Alana Haim Creates Her Own Merchandise for Her Louis Vuitton Runway Debut

Alana Haim made her runway debut for Louis Vuitton’s cruise 2027 show, turning a longtime front-row presence into a modeling moment at one of the house’s most high-profile presentations. The show was staged in the grand first-floor galleries of the recently renovated Frick Collection on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, with Central Park as a backdrop and priceless European artworks surrounding Nicolas Ghesquière’s latest vision for the maison. The setting underscored the designer’s blend of history and futurism, as he framed New York style through a distinctly Parisian perspective.
The collection played with themes of pop art, pop culture and luxury, including looks printed with Keith Haring’s signature figures in collaboration with the late artist’s foundation. Models walked in colorful, expressive pieces and cotton-candy hair shades, creating a lively contrast with the Frick’s Beaux-Arts interiors and old-master paintings by Rembrandt, Vermeer and Goya. Haim’s appearance served as one of the show’s most memorable moments, arriving as a bright punctuation mark to the presentation’s celebration of “the popular” as a powerful cultural force.
Haim wore a purple-and-yellow minidress paired with yellow socks, a black choker, a bucket hat and lace-up boots, embodying the playful energy of the collection. She has long been one of Ghesquière’s muses and has appeared in his work before, including a Louis Vuitton fall 2023 campaign with her sisters Danielle and Este. The designer also created leather pants for Haim’s band’s 2022 One More Haim Tour, and she has repeatedly worn his designs on red carpets, including a custom seafoam-green silk gown for the New York premiere of The Drama, her latest film with Robert Pattinson and Zendaya.
The cruise show drew a major celebrity audience, with stars including Zendaya, Emma Stone, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Amy Adams, Chase Infiniti, Hoyeon and Stray Kids member Felix sitting in the front row. The event reinforced Louis Vuitton’s place at the center of fashion and celebrity culture, while also marking a personal milestone for Haim, who described the experience as surreal and unforgettable.
Her photo diary from the night captured the anticipation leading up to the runway, the backstage glam process, and the emotional high of stepping out as model number 10 in the lineup. She shared moments with makeup artist Pat McGrath, fellow model and Italian actor Giulia Maenza, and Ghesquière himself after the show. Haim also celebrated with her sisters Danielle and Este, closing the evening with gratitude for the brand and excitement over what she called the time of her life.
