Andy Dick Spotted Signing Autographs Four Months After Overdose

Andy Dick was seen publicly in Los Angeles on Friday, signing autographs and chatting with fans at the Hollywood Show convention, marking a rare appearance several months after a near-fatal overdose. The 60-year-old comedian, best known for “NewsRadio” and “The Andy Dick Show,” wore a pinstriped jacket over a black T-shirt as he greeted attendees at the event. Photos from the convention showed Dick seated at a booth, smiling and interacting with fans while signing memorabilia.
The outing comes more than five months after Dick was found unconscious in Los Angeles during what appeared to be a drug overdose. At the time, friends filming with him said he had broken away to smoke crack cocaine with a man on the street. Video later showed the actor slumped on concrete steps while bystanders tried to help and call emergency services. He was revived after receiving four doses of Narcan, a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. Dick later said he believed he had “legit died” and recalled waking up disoriented, asking for vodka.
After the emergency, Dick entered a rehab facility in Palm Springs but left less than two months later. In interviews following his release, he said he had been to rehab many times, but described this latest stay as different because of the severity of the incident. He revisited the overdose again in a March podcast appearance, joking about the experience and saying there were no “bright lights” during the ordeal.
Dick also discussed brain scan results on the podcast, claiming he had several “holes” in his brain. A representative for the comedian later said those issues were linked not to the overdose, but to a 2019 assault in which Dick was allegedly struck outside a club. The rep said doctors were confident his brain would heal and added that Dick had struggled with addiction for years but was currently healthy, sober, and doing well.
The Los Angeles convention appearance is one of the latest public sightings of the comedian since the overdose and rehab stint, drawing attention because of his long history of substance abuse and repeated health crises. Despite the concerns surrounding his recovery, Dick appeared in good spirits at the event, taking time to engage with fans in person.
