Brooks Nader Says She’s “100% Over” String Bikinis After Baywatch Inspired Style

Brooks Nader is embracing a new swimwear style as she prepares for her role in the upcoming “Baywatch” reboot. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model said she has moved away from her signature string bikinis and is now fully committed to one-piece swimsuits. In a recent interview, Nader said she is “100% into one-pieces” and named Tropic of C as one of her favorite swimwear brands, praising its sustainable and eco-conscious designs.
Nader’s new look has already been visible at public events. At the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show last Saturday night, she appeared in a black one-piece swimsuit with a thong back. Later that evening, she posed in a red one-piece paired with an oversized white belt, further highlighting the style she has adopted while preparing for the series.
The model was announced in March as part of the cast of the new “Baywatch” revival, which is set to air on Fox during the 2026–2027 television season. Nader will star alongside Stephen Amell, with additional cast members including Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison and Thaddeus LaGrone. In the series, Nader will play Selene, the sharp-tongued captain of the Zuma Beach lifeguard team. Her character is described as highly capable in rescue operations, but her methods are expected to clash with those of Hobie Buchannon, played by Amell, creating tension and rivalry within the show.
Nader has said the role felt like a long time coming and that she believed she had “manifested” the opportunity. She recalled choosing a red one-piece swimsuit for a Sports Illustrated cover shoot because it felt inspired by “Baywatch.” That image later became the cover, which she described as a full-circle moment. Nader said living in Los Angeles and being surrounded by the city’s connection to the original series helped shape her belief that the role would eventually happen.
As she prepares for the reboot, Nader has also received support from original “Baywatch” star Carmen Electra. Electra, who portrayed Lani McKenzie in the original series beginning in 1997, did not return for the reboot, but Nader said their meeting was meaningful. She described Electra as kind, sweet and complimentary of the new cast and series.
Nader also said the production has created a strong bond among the cast. Speaking about her experience on set, she said the women and men of the show work well together and have developed an especially close relationship. She compared the group dynamic to a “little sorority,” saying the cast gets along easily and shares a strong workflow.
