The Match Factory Secures Distribution Deals for Cannes Titles
The Match Factory has announced a wave of international distribution deals for titles on its Cannes slate, led by Paweł Pawlikowski’s Fatherland, Lukas Dhont’s Coward, Valeska Grisebach’s The Dreamed Adventure, and Jane Schoenbrun’s Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma.
Fatherland has secured sales across a wide range of territories. Nonstop Entertainment will release the film in Scandinavia, while Spentzos Film has taken Greece. Other deals include GAGA in Japan, Challan in South Korea, Andrews Film in Taiwan, Lev Cinemas in Israel, Cinelibri in Bulgaria, MCF MegaCom in the former Yugoslavia, Vertigo Media in Hungary, Zero Gravity in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Arthouse Traffic in Ukraine, Gulf Film in MENA, Nitrato in Portugal, Edko Films in Hong Kong, Transilvania Film in Romania, and Kino Pavasaris in the Baltics. Mubi will handle North America, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Mexico, and India, while also partnering with Cinéart in Benelux, Cineplex across parts of Latin America, Maco Cine in Argentina and Uruguay, and Madman Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand. Additional distributors include Kino Świat in Poland, Pathé in France, Neue Visionen in Germany, and Polyfilm in Austria.
Coward has also sold widely. Filmcoopi will distribute in Switzerland, Lev Cinemas in Israel, Camera in Denmark, Triart in Sweden, Selmer in Norway, and Future Film in Finland. Other territories include MCF MegaCom in the former Yugoslavia, Cirko Film in Hungary, A-One Film in the Baltics, Cinobo in Greece, Challan in South Korea, Sahamongkol Film in Thailand, The Klockworx in Japan, Pilot Film in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Hooray Films in Taiwan, Alambique in Portugal, So Film / Cinobo in Poland, Edko Films in Hong Kong, PT Falcon in Indonesia, and Transilvania Film in Romania. Mubi will release the film in North America, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Mexico, and Turkey, with additional partners including Filmladen in Austria, Cineplex in parts of Latin America, Maco Cine in Argentina and Uruguay, and Madman Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand. Lumière will distribute the film in Benelux, with a Belgian theatrical release set for October 21, and Diaphana will open it in France in November.
The Dreamed Adventure has sold to the Baltics, Switzerland, Greece, and Indonesia. Haut et Court will release it in France on July 15, while Piffl will handle Germany in the second half of 2026. Janus has acquired North American rights.
Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma has sold to Greece, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Poland, Taiwan, Scandinavia, and Portugal. Mubi will release the film in US theaters on August 7 and will distribute it in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Mexico. The company will also partner with distributors in Benelux, Austria, Switzerland, Latin America, Brazil, and Australia and New Zealand.
